The St. Catharines – Thorold Chamber of Commerce has been an integral part of the fabric of community since 1867. As a leading voice for business, the Chamber has played a role in the evolution and growth of our cities.
The Chamber has been built on the ideas of past businesses led by members with vision and drive, all of whom were volunteers who knew they could accomplish more by working together, and that the business community was stronger with one voice.
Over the years, the St. Catharines – Thorold Chamber of Commerce has worked hard to provide exceptional value to its members, and by providing leadership on many issues that are important to the business community and indeed the greater community ensuring the advancement of the quality of life in our communities.

The Chamber plays three important roles in St. Catharines and Thorold:

As the voice of business, the Chamber plays an important advocacy role by working with all levels of government on issues related to taxation, business regulations, land supply, economic development and necessary public services. Our outstanding Chamber committees - comprised of member volunteers - monitor these issues closely and speak out on behalf of all our members.
