  • 13th Street Winery
    The much anticipated opening of 13th Street Winery's new location on Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines has finally arrived. The new winery retail store and tasting room, on the site of the former Brucedale Gardens, will be open starting 11:00 am on Friday, July 31st.

    St. Catharines and Area Arts Council and City of St. Catharines present ARTIST'S GARDEN IN THE GARDEN CITY! Artist Elizabeth Chitty's project The Wheels on the Bus will be produced as an Artists' Gardens in the Garden City project in Downtown St. Catharines.

    The St. Catharines and Area Arts Council is pleased to release a Call for Entries for the fourth annual James Street Night of Art, which will take place on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 6 - 9 pm. The competition is open to all artists living and/or working in the Niagara Region.
  • Wellspring Niagara
    Announcing a new Wellspring Niagara program - Return to Work: Wellspring Niagara has developed an eight week group program for members who are considering returning to work after cancer diagnosis and treatment. This program is open to all patients, at no charge and without referral.

    Wellspring Niagara will be hosting a Breast Cancer Support Group for women who are newly diagnosed, going through treatment or who have just completed their treatment for breast cancer starting Wednesday, July 29, 2009 to September 16, 2009, from 1:30 - 3:00 pm.
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Catharines - Thorold & District
    Arby's Restaurants across Canada have launched a fundraising campaign: "Donate a Dollar to Match a Child with a Mentor". Proceeds raised from the campaign will benefit Big Brothers Big Sister organizations in the communities where the funds are raised.
  • Niagara Home Inventory
    Rena Brant owner of Niagara Home Inventory Inc. and Ken Windjack, owner of the Greens at Brock joined forces in a Fundraiser Golf Tournament June 14th realizing a profit of $1000 for Heart to Heart Africa. Thanks to all for your support!
  • Hamblet's Roofing, Siding and Windows
    This year, Hamblet's Roofing, Siding & Windows has a special wish - to raise funds for the MAKE-A-WISH foundation. They will be donating 10% of all sales generated between July 10th to July 18th to the Wish Foundation.
  • Habitat for Humanity Niagara
    Habitat for Humanity received a $150,000 grant from the federal and provincial governments on Wednesday, July 9th. This grant will be divided among three new Habitat for Humanity housing projects in Niagara. Congratulations!
  • Niagara Diabetes Charity Scramble
    The 2nd annual Niagara Diabetes Charity Scramble was held this past June 27th and it was again an overwhelming success. Thanks to all the sponsors $7,000 was raised that day. The money will be used to assist Niagara children with Type 1 Diabetes attend Camp Huronda in Huntsville.
