Congratulations to the people and businesses of Thorold - who have, for the fourth year, secured the title of Canada's most patriotic city - a status confirmed from the prime minister's office. Over 6,000 flags were registered!
Terry Dow, the city's director of tourism, said "it's a great showing...we only have 7,054 homes here."
Thorold Mayor D'Angela said he's "excited and proud at being mayor of Canada's most patriotic city again."
"Having more than 6,000 flags is pretty astounding for a community with a population of about 18,000."
