Call for applications for BOARD MEMBERS
Niagara North Community Legal Assistance Clinic is a nonprofit agency providing legal services such as advocacy, advice and representation to low income members of the communities of St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Lincoln, West Lincoln and Grimsby. These services are free to those who meet financial eligibility guidelines and cover such areas as Disability Support, Employment Insurance, Pensions, and Tenant Protection and other related areas. The Clinic also undertakes legal education presentations, community outreach and legal reform lobbying and advocacy.
Funded by Legal Aid Ontario, NNCLA
- Is a community based organization governed by a local Board of Directors consisting of twelve members from the community
- The Board ensures that the Clinic is positioned to effectively and efficiently manage its resources to identify the needs of its client group and to meet those needs at a high level of service.
We are currently looking for volunteers who:
- are willing to serve a two year term
- will attend Board meetings the second Monday evening of each month.
- possess skills and experience in any of these areas: financial accountability, personnel management, community development and social services
Commitment to community service, empathy and compassion for the marginalized are requirements.
